    Pine River is currently seeking a Trading Assistant to join our new fund focused on trading volatility.  The position will be based in our London office.  Candidates should be highly motivated for the opportunity to support three senior portfolio managers across all parts of the business.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with the execution of trading strategies for multiple portfolio managers
    • Act as central point person for the trading desk and manage relationships with the street across multiple touch points
    • Manage securities lending requirements for the portfolio and deal with any difficult or hard to borrow positions
    • Coordinate with the back office to instruct corporate actions when necessary

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Equities, Credit and/ or Futures markets preferred
    • Undergraduate degree preferably with a technical or science background
    • Experience covering multiple portfolio managers and a willingness to assist in trading global markets across several different asset classes
    • Exposure to options, futures, derivatives, and fixed income markets a plus
    • Knowledge of electronic and algorithmic execution trading systems strongly preferred
    • Proficiency with Bloomberg, MS Office, SQL and VBA strongly preferred
    • Knowledge in Python and Matlab strongly preferred
    • Candidates who are detail oriented and strive to create operational efficiency would make the ideal fit
