Pine River is currently seeking an experienced Senior Associate, Marketing and Investor Relations to join our team in Minnetonka.  This position manages the firm’s large investor relationships, including correspondence, participation in client meetings, management of follow-up actions, responding to RFPs and other ad hoc projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with investors and respond to inquiries, in-depth RFP (Request for Proposal) documents and DDQs (Due Diligence Questionnaires) by utilizing RFP management systems, and Backstop (CRM);
  • Utilize Intralinks to produce and update monthly investor communications and reports;
  • Apply financial product expertise in the following areas: Event Driven and Market Neutral Equities; Securitized Fixed Income (Agency/Non-Agency, ABS and Consumer Lending); Global Convertibles; Municipal Bonds, Equity Volatility, Liquid Rates, Commodities and Marco, Emerging Marketing Credit and Structured Credit;
  • Analyze and generate a wide variety of fund- and market-related data, including fund performance and volatility metrics, Sharpe Ratios, indices, global convertible bond data and other market and economic data;
  • Calculate, monitor and model correlation, volatility, performance attribution, various risk-adjusted return metrics, fund liquidity profiles and pricing sources and ASC 820 levels;
  • Reconcile a wide variety of fund metrics across different types of models and reports;
  • Communicate with members of the Marketing & IR team via Confluence and with members of the senior leadership team, including Partners and Portfolio Managers.
  • Utilize the following technologies: Backstop (CRM), Intralinks, RFP management systems, and Confluence collaboration system.
  • This position requires travel (domestic) less than 5% of the time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a financial analyst position or related occupation.
  • At least three (3) years of experience, which may be concurrent, in all of the following:
    • Interacting with investors and responding to inquiries, in-depth RFP (Request for Proposal) documents and DDQs (Due Diligence Questionnaires) by utilizing RFP management systems, and Backstop (CRM);
    • Utilizing Intralinks to produce and update monthly investor communications and reports;
    • Applying financial product expertise in the following areas: Event Driven and Market Neutral Equities; Securitized Fixed Income (Agency/Non-Agency, ABS and Consumer Lending); Global Convertibles; Municipal Bonds, Equity Volatility, Liquid Rates, Commodities and Marco, Emerging Marketing Credit and Structured Credit;
    • Analyzing and generating a wide variety of fund- and market-related data, including fund performance and volatility metrics, Sharpe Ratios, indices, global convertible bond data and other market and economic data;
    • Calculating, monitoring and modeling correlation, volatility, performance attribution, various risk-adjusted return metrics, fund liquidity profiles and pricing sources and ASC 820 levels;
    • Communicating with members of the Marketing & IR team via Confluence and with members of the senior leadership team, including Partners and Portfolio Managers.
  • All experience may have been gained concurrently.
  • Experience must have been acquired after completion of the Bachelor’s Degree program.
  • This position requires travel (domestic) less than 5% of the time.
